About This Program
The relationship between a supply chain and patient care may not seem so obvious at first, but that's not to say that Supply Chain doesn't play a big part. According to a recent survey, doctors, clinicians, and nurses spend 20% of their time doing tasks that a supply chain could take care of for them. This includes locating supplies, ordering supplies, or doing an inventory of supplies. All of this time could be focused more on patient-centric activities, making your clinicians and other employees more engaged.
But it goes well beyond supplies and inventory management. No other group within a healthcare system touches every other group or department the way Supply Chain does. Supply Chain impacts literally every tangible thing needed to deliver care. And not just the product itself but the way it's chosen, ordered, inventoried and delivered. Traditionally your objective has been to reduce costs but now you're being challenged to affect the entire CQO movement.
From this session you will learn:
- Supply Chain's role in overall patient satisfaction
- Ways that Supply Chain can help others concentrate on more patient-centric activities so that they feel more engaged
- How Supply Chain can measure its customers' / end users' satisfaction
Who Should Attend: EVERYONE! Directors of Materials Management, Supply Chain/Resource Managers, Infection Control Practitioners, O.R. Managers/Staff, Support Services Management, Environmental Services, and Corporate VP of Supply Chain Management.
